Blockchain

The blockchain is a technology that creates a digital, shared, trusted and public "ledger" of accounts, which everyone can inspect but which is not under the control of any single user.

It records transactions between two parties in an efficient, verifiable and permanent manner, through the successive additions of single «blocks» (portions of the chain into which the single transactions are broken down), each one logically linked (concatenated) to the previous one by a sequence number and by a mathematical mechanism that guarantees the congruity of the block itself and of all the previous ones to which it is linked.
