NoteK provides the platform, the brand's own app, the management tools and the integrations with point-of-sale systems. Tokens belong to the brand and its network: euros flow between the brand, its customers and its merchants, while NoteK records the movements and invoices the service.
The brand designs its initiatives: prepaid credits, vouchers, points, cashback, gift cards, welfare or public-body vouchers. For each token it sets the value, the validity, where it can be spent and whether it can be given to others. It creates the tokens for its own network, makes them available to its customers and pays its merchants in euros.
With the brand's app on their smartphone, people buy tokens or receive them as gifts, pay in store by scanning the QR code at the till, if the brand allows it send them to friends and family within the limits it has set, and follow their balance and history.
A merchant collects payments from its own till or from the customer's QR code, reverses a payment within a few minutes, reviews its history and asks the brand to redeem the tokens it has collected in euros. Every movement is recorded in a permanent and verifiable way.
